Suzuki Vitara 2 door
The Vitara is a compact sport utility available as a 4 door hard top or as a 2 door soft top; in either 2 or 4 wheel drive. The Vitara is the newly renamed and redesigned-for-1999 Sidekick. The Sidekick had been a strong seller within the Suzuki model line-up and the redesign will likely maintain this vehicle's popularity. Vitara is Suzuki's entry into the highly competitive small sport utility market shared by the Vitara's sibling, the Chevrolet Tracker. The Vitara is aimed at a young, active buyer looking for an affordable sport utility. While a capable off-road vehicle in 4 wheel drive, the 2 wheel drive is better suited as an inexpensive 2 door convertible or as a tall 4 door wagon. The Vitara keeps the body on frame structure of its predecessor while updating and freshening both the interior and exterior. The Vitara is available with either a 1.6 Liter or 2.0 Liter in-line 4 cylinder coupled to either a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. Though a relatively small package, The 4 door Vitara has nearly 104 cubic feet of interior volume. The Vitara was completely redesigned for 1999. The new body has been rounded and smoothed to help reduce aerodynamic drag while giving the vehicle a fresh, "sculpted" exterior.
