Go Up  Chevrolet Blazer 2 door

While the current Blazer traces it's roots back to 1982, the name first appeared in 1969 when Chevrolet first used its full-size C/K pick-up platform to create a true utilitarian vehicle. In 1982, Chevy developed the smaller "S" platform where the Blazer and compact S-10 pickup currently reside. The full-size "C/K" and compact "S" versions were sold alongside each other until 1995 when the Tahoe name was picked to designate the former full-size, two-door Blazer. The 1999 Chevrolet Blazer is not just the utilitarian vehicle of yore. Marketed to appeal to a broad range of interests, it is now available in ten trims: a two-door or a four-door in LS, LT or the new upscale TrailBlazer -- all available in either two or four-wheel drive. Prices start at $15,810 for the two-door models and range from $23,570 to $32,770 for a four-door. The Blazer is Chevy's best-selling SUV with competition coming mainly from Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer, Honda Passport and Toyota 4Runner. Power comes from a 4.3-liter, V6 engine with 190 horsepower mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The new TrailBlazer comes standard with GM's AutoTrac active transfer case, which senses slippage at the rear wheels and automatically transfers power to the front axle. All other four-wheel drive models come standard with Chevrolet's Insta-Trac dash-mounted button for shifting "on-the-fly". When properly equipped, Blazers can carry up to 5,500 Lbs. All Blazers come with air conditioning, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, cloth bucket seats, deep tinted glass, AM/ FM stereo and battery rundown protection. LS trims add power door locks, power windows, heated exterior mirrors and an overhead console. LT trims receive eight-way power driver seat, remote keyless entry, cassette deck, fog lamps and leather seating. New this year, the upscale Trailblazer, an LT with two-tone leather seating, leather steering wheel and shift knob, premium floor mats, gold exterior accents and unique aluminum wheels.
